Miracle on the Hudson

My husband watches the news every night. It seems as if all we hear is doom and gloom. What a refreshing story and media coverage of the U.S. Airway airliner that ditched into the Hudson River. Every one safe! The pilot a hero!

I could have watched the story for 24 hours and not tired of it. Hooray!

Loved your devotion today. I feel so strongly that this President-Elect needs our prayers rather than our condemnation (which I've heard from fellow believers). Thank you, Susanne. : )

Susanne,
I am posting on this blog entry since I didn't see the devotion that you did for Proverbs 31 today posted on here. I read with interest your devotion for Proverbs 31 today. Last night I led the prayer for our nation's leaders at our church's Sanctity of Human Life Prayer Service, so I appreciate what your Proverbs 31 devotion had to say about praying for our nation's leaders. You just left off one of the most important things we need to pray for, as Christians, when we pray for our nation's leaders, and that is that they will uphold and respect LIFE!!! You mentioned the economy and terrorism, but not issues of life. Yesterday was officially proclaimed Sanctity of Human Life day by our current President. It is not likely that our next President with proclaim a Sanctity of Human Life day. Actually, our new President has vowed to sign FOCA, which would make abortion a right on par with our freedom of speech and religion. This doesn't make me want to pray for our new President less, but more. I am praying that he will experience a Damascus Road conversion when it comes to LIFE. It would be great to have more of my sisters in Christ joining me in that prayer. I know it is too late to add this to your devotion, but maybe you could blog about it? Thanks so much!
